BIB 101 - Introduction to the Bible

What do we mean by inspiration or inerrancy?
How did the Old Testament develop in its Jewish context?
What is the Apocrypha?
How did the New Testament develop and why do we have the books we do?
What about the Gnostic Gospels?
How did our modern Bibles get to us and what is the difference between translations?

These questions and more will be dealt with in our new course: Introduction to the Bible.

This course will be offered in three ways:
1) First Baptist Church Meaford (35 Trowbridge St W)
Wednesdays at 1:30 pm starting January 9 for six weeks.
2) Woodford Baptist Church (Hwy 26 at Irish Block Road)
Every other Tuesday at 7:30 pm starting January 15 for six sessions.
3) An Internet course that will include text notes, audio lectures, interesting links and discussion questions.

If you are interested, please go to www.bib101.blogspot.com for a preview.

Cost is by donation only but everyone is welcome to take the course regardless of ability to give.
