If you are planning on taking the Internet version of Introduction to the Bible or if you are taking the in-class version and want some extra information, go to www.bib101.blogspot.com.
The Discipleship School of Ministry is for all Christians, no matter what church they belong to or the amount of previous educational background. While this training is very useful for people already active in ministry opportunities, such as: deacons, elders, Sunday school teachers, youth leaders, etc., it will also benefit Christians who are just interested in learning more about their faith or who are still discovering their place of service.
What denomination is this school?
While the Discipleship School of Ministry is based in a Baptist church, it is not aimed at one particular Christian tradition. The Discipleship School of Ministry is appropriate for any Christian who affirms the deity of Christ, the inspiration of the Bible and salvation by faith.
How does it work?
The Discipleship School of Ministry offers courses throughout the year, including some home study courses, in addition to offering credit for other local training opportunities.
What do people receive from these studies?
These are non-accredited courses, and they are not designed to prepare people for professional, ordained ministry. However, after earning thirty credits, the student will receive a Certificate of Christian Studies from the school as a goal to aim for. In reality, the greatest result will be a greater understanding of the Bible and improved training for volunteer Christian service in the local church.
